Celebrating 100 years of Lions

MORRISBURG – Morrisburg & District Lions Club were joined by other District A4 Lions Clubs at their Picnic in the Park at the Morrisburg waterfront to celebrate the Centennial of Lions International on Sat., June 17.

District A4 Governor Lion Susan Wilkes was present and commented she was “just thrilled Morrisburg & District Lions Club had decided to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Lions International, the largest service organization in the world.”

After a parade wound its way through parts of Morrisburg, plans for an afternoon of food, fun and fellowship were set to be enjoyed at the waterfront park in that community. Lion Jim Martin, President of the Morrisburg & District Lions, explained there were games for children of all ages in the park as well as the opportunity to enjoy a picnic lunch while visiting with friends.
