CORNWALL – United Way Centraide SD&G hosted a Summer Patio Party on Tues., Aug. 15, and made a special announcement regarding the organization’s signature Wine & Gourmet Tastings Event.

“The organizing committee is thrilled to announce that Karen and Ray Brunet, local business owners raising their young family in our community have agreed to co-chair the 5th Annual United Way Wine & Gourmet Tastings event to be held on Sat., Nov. 25, 2017, at the NAV Centre,” stated Angie Baker, United Way Board Member and Chair of the event organizing committee for the past four years. “We are grateful that Karen and Ray have agreed to step into this role for the next three years.”

“We are honoured to support United Way and the impact this organization has in our local community,” said Brunet. “We live, work and raise our family here so it’s important to us to work with an organization that is helping people right here in a community we are proud to call home.”

The theme of this year’s event is True North Strong and Free in acknowledgement of Canada’s 150th celebrations. As in previous years, the event will boast delicious wines, gourmet food, silent and live auction, a chance to win a diamond prize, jazz music, D.J. and dancing, magic and more. Early Bird tickets will be on sale from Sept. 15 to Oct. 8, with special pricing and a chance to win. For more information visit unitedwaysdg.com.
