With the sun shining and the river flowing, South Stormont Deputy Mayor Tammy Hart and Stephanie White from Cornwall were ready to begin the 2018 Raisin River Canoe Race. The Raisin River in St. Andrew’s West had many canoes along its shore as the 2018 Raisin River Canoe Race was set to begin mid-morning of April 22, after being delayed a week due to bad weather. Spring improvements underway at SNC’s J. Henry Tweed Conservation Area

Seasonal upgrades Starting late April, SNC will be executing upgrades to the J. Henry Tweed Conservation Area in Russell. Joanie Fleurant, RRDH, of RDH Dental Hygiene Care in Embrun and her team participated in the Gift from the Heart event on Sat., April 14. Fleurant has participated in the event for five years, giving free dental care to families in need.
