RUSSELL – The Russell Library held their teen poetry contest finale on Thurs., April 26. The Library wrote, “The finalists of the Teen Poetry Contest received their prizes and read their poems out loud for their friends and family who were present. A truly inspiring evening! Congratulations to all the finalists!”

Winners of the contest include: Natalya Fewtrell, 1st place winner of the 15 to 18 years old category with a poem titled, Broken debris; Rachel Fiset, 2nd place winner of the 15 to 18 years old category with a poem titled, To Think; and Adelle Johnson, 3rd place winner of the 15 to 18 years old category with a poem titled, Overcome.

Lauren Patterson, 1st place winner of the 12 to 14 years old category with a poem titled, Winter Magic; Isabel Garcia, 2nd place winner of the 12 to 14 years old category with a poem titled, Blind; Riley James, 3rd place winner of the 12 to 14 years old category with a poem titled, WHAT IF; and Celina Plourde, honorable mention of the 12 to 14 years old category with a poem titled, Jonathan Pitre.
