ST. ANDREWS WEST—The Chesterville Rippin’ Racers participated in the St. Andrews Swim Meet on Sun., July 22. Despite the rainy weather, the team stuck it out and brought home five top overall medals. Coach, Mallory Hutchinson is proud of the swimmers and parents who made the day a success. “We couldn’t have done it without you!” she proclaimed. Medaling for the day were Elizabeth Lough – 1st in IM, 4th in butterfly and 3rd in back crawl, Zander Thompson – top 11-12-year-old boys, 1st In IM, butterfly and front crawl, Faith McRae – 1st in IM, 2nd in front crawl and butterfly, Gwyneth Van Delst – 5th in front crawl, Marissa Latimer -Top 7-8-year-old girl, 1st in butterfly and breaststroke and 4th in front crawl, Bethany Van Delst – 4th in back crawl and breaststroke and 6th in front crawl, Brooke Elliott – 2nd in butterfly, 3rd in breaststroke and 5th in front crawl, Mateja Kalvanoic – 3rd in front crawl and back crawl and 5th in breaststroke, Shealyn Elliott – 1st in butterfly, 2nd in front crawl and back crawl, Olivia Pereira – Top 11-12-year-old girl – 1st in front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke, Luke VanDelst – 2nd in back crawl and breaststroke and 4th in front crawl, Carter Latimer – 1st in back crawl and breaststroke and 2nd in front crawl, Luka Kalvanoic – 2nd in back crawl, 4th in front crawl and breaststroke, Owen Latimer Top 13-14 year-old boy, 1st in butterfly and breaststroke and 2nd in front crawl, Matt Pereira Top boy 15+, 1st in IM, front crawl, and breaststroke and Bella Gaudette – 3rd in butterfly. Next weekend Sat., July 28, the Chesterville Rippin’ Racers will be competing in Winchester Swim Meet.
