B Champs

The North Dundas Atom C1 Demons captured the B Division championship at the Alexandria Invitational Tournament on the weekend of Jan. 26. ALEXANDRIA— The North Dundas Atom C1 Demons travelled to Alexandria this past week to take part in the Alexandria Invitational Atom C Tournament and went on to capture the B championship. The Demons opened the tournament with a 4-1 loss to the Char-Lan Rebels but rebounded shutting out the home team Glens 7-0, making it to the B final.

In their first game of the tournament the North Dundas Atom C1 Demons took the Char-Lan Rebels. The Rebels jumped out to a 1-0 lead into the first period and neither team was able to get on the board in the second period. 

The flood gates opened in the third period. The Demons tied the game just 56 seconds into the third as Cody Lease scored from Sydney Robinson but the Rebels added another three consecutive unanswered goals at 4:27, 5:50 and 6:43 and took the game 4-1.

Demons 7 Glens 0

The Demons then took on the home team Glens in their second game of the tournament and got a much different result scoring two goals in the first period, one in the second and four in the third taking the game 7-0. Scoring for the Demons were Sydney Robinson with a hat trick, Jacob Miller, Lesage, Jack Robinson and Koen Myers. 

Picking up the helpers were Lesage, Jack Robinson and Anthony Sylvester. With the win, the Demons moved on to the B final to take on the South Stormont Selects.

In the B final, the Demons faced off against the Selects. The Demons opened the scoring with two goals at 4:04 and 7:45 of the first period and took a 2-0 lead into the second period. The Selects opened the period with two quick goals at 2:06 and 2:46 but the Demons answered with three goals at 5:46, 6:15 and 6:30. 

The Selects scored at  7:43 of the third period but the Demons answered with a pair at 8:29 and with just 1:15 taking the game 7-3. Scoring for the Demons were Jack Robinson and Lesage each with a hat trick and Sydney Robinson with a single.
