CHESTERVILLE – Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry MP Eric Duncan has been named to the Leadership Team of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) Leadership Team in the federal parliament. The announcement was made by Erin O’Toole who was recently elected the leader of the (CPC) and will serve as the Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition in the House of Commons on Wednesday September 2nd.
Adrian Bugelli, Executive Assistant to Duncan, explained to The Chesterville Record in an email, the “Leadership Team is responsible for the daily operations of the Conservative Caucus in the House of Commons”, adding “Eric will specifically set the roster for Question Period on a daily basis, ensuring that issues that are important to MP’s across the country are addressed”.
In a press release dated September 2, Duncan is quoted as saying “It is an honour and something that came as quite a surprise. As a new Member of Parliament, I’m humbled that Erin has selected me for this important job in our caucus”. O’Toole commented how he is “incredibly proud to work with these dedicated and professional Members of Parliament who I know will help grow our Conservative movement and ensure more Canadians see a Conservative when they look in the mirror”.
