MOOSE CREEK – A Touch of Health massage therapy clinic located at 17071 McLean Road in Moose Creek, has been providing its clients with treatment for a variety of sport and work related injuries since Oct. 1 2009. This October, the clinic will be offering a new service to the community when it opens A Touch of Health Café in a recently renovated section of the clinic.

Robyn Ledoux, a registered massage therapist and owner of A Touch of Health, recently spoke to The Chesterville Record about the opening of the café in October. Ledoux explained the clinic moved to its present location in 2019 which provided more treatment rooms, a tanning bed and the services of a registered nutritionist to clients.

In early 2020 planning and funding were in place to renovate a section of the building for a health food café. After several delays, some attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ledoux was pleased to announce the café is nearing completion, with an October opening date anticipated.

She explained the café would provide lunch and breakfast between Thursday and Sunday with a menu utilizing, as much as possible, local and Canadian sourced food, noting how some food such as bananas can’t be grown in this country. Ledoux continued that the menu will feature both regular and gluten-free bread from a local bakery as well as local seasonal vegetables and fruit.
